De affiche van the game is up! (het Vooruitfestival in februari 2007) werd genomineerd voor The power of print – de culturele affichewedstrijd van Prospekta i.s.m. Agfa Graphics, Rapid Affichage, Aelous, Igepa en De Standaard. De affiche is een ontwerp van Vooruits huisvormgever Mathias Timmermans.

The poster for the game is up! (the Vooruit festival that took place in February 2007) has been nominated for The power of print – a competition for culture posters organised by Prospekta in association with Agfa Graphics, Rapid Affichage, Aelous, Igepa and De Standaard. The poster was designed by Vooruit’s in-house graphic designer Mathias Timmermans.

Kunstencentrum Vooruit hangt op 17 oktober geknoopte lakens uit de ramen: een symbolische daad van verzet tegen armoede.

Ontsnappen uit armoede is een zaak van iedereen! Die overtuiging deelt Vooruit met de organisatoren van de Werelddag van verzet tegen armoede. Daarom hangt het kunstencentrum op 17 oktober geknoopte lakens uit.

On the 17th of October, Vooruit Arts centre will hang white knotted sheets from its windows. With this symbolic gesture, Vooruit shows its commitment to make poverty history.

Eradicating poverty is everyone’s business. Vooruit shares this view with the organizers of the Werelddag van verzet tegen armoede, a Belgian initiative fighting global poverty. That’s why the arts centre will have white knotted sheets hanging from its windows on the 17th of October.
