The IETM Secretariat, Arts Centre Vooruit and Flanders Festival proudly present the IETM Autumn Plenary Meeting in Ghent, October 4 – 7 2007:
“One on One”, an intimate encounter between the artist and the manager, linked together by the bonding power of customized telecommunication.
Come to Ghent for a One on One confrontation with the intimate potential of cutting edge technologies, and navigate through informative consultations, shared body sessions, interactive practices and panel debates.
One on One focuses on alternative strategies for communication, both for artistic creation and for venues and arts centres. With a wink to the corporate market, IETM hopes to create a ‘One on One’ encounter for every single meeting participant.
This IETM Meeting will provide you with a surprisingly intimate networking and learning zone, situated in our One on One dating spot, Arts Centre Vooruit, right in time for the celebration of IETM’s 25th birthday!
At IETM Birmingham 2003, an IETM working group looked at the intersection between art and technology. At IETM Milano 2004, we invoked the famous Richard Florida prescription of “Talent, Tolerance and Technology” and asked where the creative IETM workshops positioned themselves. In IETM and On The Move.org Nantes Satellite in 2005, we brought together ICT experts with cultural information providers and got a hot and spicy mix of perspectives. Now, in IETM Ghent 2007, we will look at the IP revolution: personalised everything… brought to you by your cookies, spyware, and the data about yourself that you didn’t even know you had.
Navigate through complex streams of information and join in info cells about creative industries, new media communication and practice, and related topics.
Subscribe to the working groups and discuss Artivism, subversive use of marketing communication, creativity in the corporate world, technological control mechanisms and a lot of other stuff.
Share your experience of programming, presenting and facilitating new media art in one of our meeting groups. Talk about difficulties, possibilities and changes in collaborative new practices and so much more.
Use your gps to see where and what IETM Focus Points outside of Europe are evolving into. Follow IETM’s future planning process, join a training group, find out more about EU funding, witness a tag debate, or just come along for the information flow.
